Found

I have found myself
You have found me
I have found what I have been looking for

What does it mean to find

Have I been lost
Where have I been
Have you been looking for me

How hard have you been trying to find me
How do I know what I’ve been looking for
How do I really know when I’ve found it

Is to be found to be saved

Is to find to be complete
Was I empty and now I’m full

Where was I that I needed to be found
Have I travelled far to find what I was looking for
Did you know you were looking for me

How do we know when we are lost
How do we know when someone is looking for us
How do we know we found something we are looking for

We just know… or maybe we don’t

A Brave Soldier

Wonder fills my heart
How are you today my brave soldier
Is there a smile that sits upon your face
Is there a light in the mountains of your soul
Has something been lost and torn away
Or is there something to find buried in the past
Questions of a brave soldier

Wonder fills my heart
How are you faring my brave soldier
Time is just a reference of space
Of waves off in a distant land
But what of the air between us
Does it fills the lungs with warmth and hope
Questions of a brave soldier

Wonder fills my heart
How is your journey my brave soldier
Have you noticed the rays that pass your way
Are you gathering the remnants of who you once were
Stay steady, unsaturated your thoughts
Open your arms, embrace the glimpses of truth
Questions of a brave soldier

Wonder fills my heart
How are you always my brave soldier
Are you savoring the sun and rain
Are you breathing and seeing that which is all around you
Embrace the battle, collect the pieces of yourself
Are we all just brave soldiers in these moments we call life
Questions of a brave man

You

You are nothing more than what you are
You are a rainbow, a box of toys
You are a blessing, a gift from God

You are simple as simple can be
You are ordinary most can see
You are full of wonder, a gift of surprise

You are searching for what you may not find
You are longing for days of uncounted time
You may stumble but celebrate your wounds

You have hands of the seasons, your gaze is pure
You make your way, a past to endure
You are something, it’s so hard to say

So again:
You are nothing more than what you are
You are a rainbow, a box of toys
You are a blessing, a gift from God
